Thank you for your interest in Zoe Life Publishing. First and foremost we are here to glorify God in all that we do and to increase His kingdom in the earth. If you are a writer, whether it is a children’s story, devotional, bible study, fiction, non-fiction, memoir or a collection of short stories, essays and poetry and it glorifies God, we will prayerfully consider your writing for publication. Does this mean that the central theme has to be Jesus or God, specifically? No, let us clarify, it means the central theme has to be based on sound biblical precepts, principles and ideologies with the aim of encouraging, edifying, uplifting, teaching, nurturing, comforting, maturing or entertaining with the ultimate goal of equipping the body of Christ to live victorious overcoming lives.
What we are looking for…
We are looking for both new and previously published writers who’s work glorifies God. Does this mean that the central theme has to be Jesus or God, specifically? What we don’t accept…
Non-original works (plagiarism)
Fiction, that represents real events or person in any way that could be deemed libelous
Non-fiction, which misstates any material fact or omit to state any material fact, that results would libel any person or result in a person being placed in a false or damaging light
Work which infringes upon any statutory or common law right of copyright or privacy of any third party
Work that contains any trademarks and/or trade names associated with the Work that is not owned exclusively by the writer
Work that constitutes obscenity or hate literature
Anything pornographic, illicit, malicious or scandalous in nature
Anything that is defaming, derogatory or contrary to the Christian Faith
How to submit your writing for consideration...
1. Introduce Yourself…
This should be a brief letter that tells us about you and why you feel your story, lesson or message should be told. Also, it should indicate the take away (impact on the life of the reader).
2. Tell Us about Your Manuscript…
This should be a brief single-spaced, one page is preferredbut no more than a five page description of your manuscript. Also include category (i.e., children’s picture book or short story collection, etc.) and the target audience (i.e., 35 years old or women 18-99 years, etc.), You may summarize your manuscript in whatever technique (bullet point form, chapter by chapter, outline, etc.) that is comfortable for you to convey the entire meaning of the story.
3. Give us a sample…
Include a sample of your writing. For book length works (fiction, non-fiction, bible study, How-to, Christian Living, etc.) include at least 3 chapters. For poetry, devotionals, essays or short stories, include 3-5 samples. For children’s books send the entire story. If your children’s story is not currently illustrated do not worry, we
can illustrate your book for you.
4. Complete the following Submission Form…
Complete the Submission Form and place it on top of your Submission’s package. You will receive an acknowledgement upon receipt of your package. We will notify you within 21 business days from the date of acknowledgement after prayerful consideration whether or not your writing has been selected to the next phase…preparing for publication.
Within or shortly after the 21 business days you will first be contacted by letter regarding the status of your manuscript. If your manuscript passes all of our criteria and if God leads us to offer you an opportunity to publish with Zoe Life, you will then be contacted by our Author Advocate by phone and either an in-person or tele-conference meeting will be scheduled for you to meet and discuss the opportunity with our publisher.
