1. Pray for a spirit of Humility ... The willingness to submit to proper authority
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
2. Pray for a spirit of reverence...The fear of the Lord.
Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy [is] understanding.
3. Pray for a spirit of Purity...A desire to be clean, in body, mind and spirit.
Matthew 5:8 Blessed [are] the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
4. Pray for a spirit of Purpose. God perfect plans for their lives to be revealed. Wisdom to set , pursue and accomplish the callings on their lives to the glory of God.
Proverbs 4:22-27 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it [are] the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. onder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
5. Pray they present their bodies as a living sacrifice ...That they may be holy and acceptable to God. According to Roman 12:1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. ?
6.Pray that their eyes are opened to the truth and they be not conformed to this world
but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind...According to Roman 12:2
? And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of
7. Pray that they not think more highly of themselves then they ought to think...According to Roman 12:3
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think [of himself] more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
8] Pray that our youth are imparted with a spirit of Commitment... That they will be dedicated to your cause. That when they are faced with a decision as to who they will follow they will boldly declare according to your word they will follow Jesus according to Joshua 24:15,
“as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
9] Pray that our youth are has a spirit of diligence. That the spirit of slothfulness, idleness and laziness will be bound and cast down back to the pit from which it came in the name of Jesus. According to your word in 2 Peter 1:10 ...give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
10] Pray that our youth are strengthened That they will not tire of being and doing good. According to your word in Galatians 6:9 & 10 which says And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all [men], especially unto them who are of the household of faith..
11] Pray that our youth are faithful so that they may be pleasing to you...according to your word in Hebrews 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
12] Pray that our youth wait upon the Lord So that God may strengthen them..according to your word in Isaiah 40:29 & 31
Isa 40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to [them that have] no might he increaseth strength.
Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.
13] Pray further our youth are people of integrity and honesty according to your word...Romans 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
14] Pray that our youth have the character of loyalty. That they have a stand unmovable and steadfast even in the most difficult circumstance. As Ruth stood with Naomi according to your word in Ruth 1:16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, [or] to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people [shall be] my people, and thy God my God:
15] We pray that our youth are good stewards over all that God places in their hands. . So that they are found faithful. According to your word in 1 Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
16] We pray further that our youth are filled with the spirit of revelation. . That the scales fall off their eyes and they may see the truth. According to your word in Ephesians 1:18-19; The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
17] Pray that our youth mature in the things of God and become skillful in the word of righteousness . That they may be able to lead others and discern good from evil. According to your word in Hebrews 5:12-14. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which [be] the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk [is] unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
18] We pray that our youth know who they are and their delegated authority in Christ. That they may exercise their capacity to command. According to Matthew 16:19 and Matthwe 21:21
Mat 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Mat 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this [which is done] to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
19] We pray further that our youth trust in the Lord. That they not be moved by every wind of doctrine.. According to your word in Psalms 125:1 and Ephesians 4:14
Psa 125:1 [[A Song of degrees.]] They that trust in the LORD [shall be] as mount Zion, [which] cannot be removed, [but] abideth for ever.
Eph 4:14 That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
20] Pray that our youth are teachable and have a heart to submit to proper authority So that God may teach them His ways.
Psa 25:12 What man [is] he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way [that] he shall choose.
Psa 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
21] Pray that our youth obey the voice of God and that they are not hearers only, but will hear and do what thus saith the Lord So that through them all the nations of the earth will be blessed and that they spend their days in prosperity and pleasures.
Gen 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
Job 36:11 If they obey and serve [him], they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
22] Pray that our youth hunger and thirst after God and draw nigh unto Him So they may call upon Him and He will be nigh to them.
Psa 42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
Mat 5:6 Blessed [are] they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Psa 145:18 The LORD [is] nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
Jam 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [ye] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [ye] double minded
